Lochlin "Loc'r" Cross leaves Corus Rocker CJKR (Power 97)/Winnipeg after six years, the last two as PD, and is headed to Newcap Classic Rocker CIRK (K-Rock 97.3)/Edmonton as its new PD, effective Aug. 14. He replaces Rob Mise, who is Canadian. Oh, and he was upped to Newcap Director/Programming last month. "I love this city; Winnipeg is a great rock 'n' roll town, and this is a great radio city as well," Cross told ST Daily. "I thought I'd spend five years programming here, but this opportunity came out of the blue, and I couldn't pass it up. I'm really excited -- K-Rock is one of the flagship stations for the company. It's very cool."
