| Since
I know you don't get the chance to read R&R from
cover to cover each week, I pulled a quote for inspiration from Erica
Farber's recent profile on Sean Hannity. His career highlight?
"That every step of the way with every new thing I tried, from the
college station; driving across the country to Huntsville, AL; driving
in to Atlanta; trying television for the first time -- everything -- there
was a part of me that was scared to death to do it, and I just plowed
through and dug down deep and did it anyway. I would break through that
comfort zone every time. Had I let my fear consume me at any point along
the way, I wouldn't be where I am today."
New
Life From No Doubt
New life for your playlist comes to Hot AC courtesy of No Doubt
next week.
"It's My Life," the first single from the quartet's retrospective
collection, The Singles 1992-2003, is Going For Adds at the format.
"It feels like the right time to release this collection because it
closes a chapter," says bassist Tony Kanal. "This is the recap
of an incredible journey that we had, and it sets the tone for what will
come in the future. We decided not to call it 'Greatest Hits' because that
sounded too final ... there's more to come from us as a band." A four-disc
(two-CD, two-DVD) limited-edition deluxe box set titled Boom Boom
will be released Nov. 25. The CDs include The Singles and Everything
in Time (B-Sides, Rarities, Remixes), the latter of which contains
seven previously unreleased tracks. As for the DVDs, they are The Videos
1992-2003 and Live in the Tragic Kingdom. No Doubt will also
release the concert DVD Rock Steady Live in November. The video
for "It's My Life" (a cover of the 1984 hit by the U.K. band Talk
Talk) was just filmed with director Dave LaChapelle and will arrive at video
outlets soon. |
